Is addiction a source of peace?

It is said that ‘youth are the backbone or strength of any nation’ and they are ‘the future of their nation and country’. Therefore, they must take care of themselves and live a healthy and safe life, far away from any bad habits or addictions.

If we read newspapers we find that addiction is a huge problem of our societies. Drug misuse is a massive problem facing the world today. Children are losing their lives, dreams and future to drugs. Countless homes have been wrecked and drug-related crimes are destroying families and ruining the social fabric of communities.

People, who aren’t addicted, will feel alive, fresh, strong and competent. They will spend time with their families and also with friends. They will feel really happy and proud of their selves that they aren’t addicted.

They will have time for studying, making a better future by studying and they will also get a good job and good salary and much more. They’ll feel like they are in heaven. Their good health, positive attitude, strong family, nice friends, thriving career and positive thinking will lead them to the love of God and love of humanity; these will lead them to satisfaction, contentment and happiness.

Because, there can be no true peace of mind without God and without serving others. The more we turn to God and love others, the greater is the peace of mind and happiness.

Never forget, on the other hand, addictions lead to anxiety, loneliness and depression, and they can never lead to satisfaction and happiness.
