Imam Laiq Ahmed Atif and the Moslem Ahmadiyya community paid a visit to the 28 residents who are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Komunita’ Santa Marija, part of the Sedqa Agency under the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS).
The Imam was met at the premises by FSWS chief executive Alfred Grixti, Sedqa director Charles Scerri and the Clinical Chairperson Dr Anna Maria Vella. He presented to residents with gifts and sweets relating to the season’s feast and delivered a message of hope and solidarity.
“This is a moment to commemorate the value of humanity, irrespective of the faith or believes” the Imam said, while reiterating that despite mistakes in our lives there is always space to correct them and to live a positive life.

Mr Grixti described the strong collaboration between FSWS and the Ahmadiyya Community as a gesture of solidarity and support towards those who are doing their utmost to rehabilitate themselves and to overcome their challenges.
Mr Scerri and Dr Vella expressed their appreciation towards this continuous friendship, adding that such visits do not only serve as moral support but also an expression of support for the residents in difficult moments. The residents also expressed gratitude to the Imam.
