The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta organised an Eid-Al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice) gathering on Saturday, 13 June 2026. The event was held to strengthen bonds of friendship among different communities, deepen mutual understanding, and inspire all attendees to become ambassadors of peace, compassion, and service to humanity.
The gathering was well attended, and participants enjoyed an atmosphere of friendship, unity, and mutual respect. The event featured addresses by Mr Pio Dalli, Editor of Il-Leħen; Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy; Rev. Prof. Stefan Attard, Dean of the Faculty of Theology; and Imam Laiq Ahmed Atif, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Malta.
A highlight of the event was the message of peace and the call to build cohesive, harmonious, and brotherly communities delivered by the Caliph and Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper). The message was drawn from the keynote address delivered by His Holiness at the UK Peace Symposium 2026, which was attended by more than 600 guests from all walks of life, including religious leaders, politicians, and members of parliament, ministers, diplomats, and ambassadors.
The event concluded with a traditional buffet lunch, providing guests with a further opportunity to interact and strengthen ties of friendship and understanding.
