Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta Successfully Holds its 8th Jalsa Salana
By the grace and blessings of Allah the Almighty, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta successfully held its 8th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) on Sunday, 25 October 2025. The theme of this year’s Jalsa was: “اِنَّ الصَّلٰوۃَ تَنۡہٰی عَنِ الۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَالۡمُنۡکَرِ” —Verily, Prayer restrains one from indecency and manifest evil.
The Jalsa commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an Urdu poem. Thereafter, the special message of His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah be his Helper), was read out. In his message, Huzoor-e-Anwar (may Allah be his Helper) reminded attendees of the purpose of Jalsa Salana, stating:
“We convene the Jalsa so that the fear of Allah may be instilled within us and so that we may become models for one another in Taqwa—righteousness—and so that we can advance in piety, tenderness of heart, mutual love and brotherhood.”
His Holiness further emphasised the importance of strengthening one’s relationship with Allah the Almighty through regular worship and spiritual discipline. He advised:
“You must be regular in offering our five daily prayers and strive to perform Tahajjud. You should continually invoke blessings upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, seek forgiveness for your sins and frequently recite Istighfar. You must recall the favours of Allah the Almighty, express gratitude for them and praise Him. You should reflect on your love for the Holy Quran, recite it daily and also study its translation and commentary.”
Concluding his message, His Holiness prayed: “I pray may Allah bless your Jalsa Salana with great success and enable you to strengthen and reinforce your faith. May Allah bring about a genuine transformation in your lives towards more piety, virtuous behaviour and the service of Islam Ahmadiyyat and humanity. May Allah bless you all.”
The Jalsa programme featured seven speeches delivered in English and Urdu, three documentaries, a Question and Answer Session, and the presentation of Malta Jamaat’s annual activity report. The obligatory prayers were also offered during the programme.
The speeches covered a range of spiritual, moral, and religious subjects, including: Consider Service to the Faith a Grace from God; The Best Bargain: Sacrificing Wealth to Gain Paradise; The Holy Prophet’s (peace be on him) Zeal for Preaching; Ahmadiyyat’s Spiritual Revolution and Our Responsibilities; Islamic Teachings on Avoiding Suspicion, Curiosity, Gossip, and Backbiting; Scientific Proofs of the Existence of God; and Salat: A Spiritual Remedy against Indecency and Evil.
The Jalsa concluded with a silent prayer, followed by poems presented by children and a traditional lunch, providing an opportunity for members to strengthen their bonds of brotherhood and fellowship. May Allah the Almighty enable us to become true Ahmadi Muslims in letter and spirit, remain punctual in offering our daily prayers, become recipients of His forgiveness, mercy, grace, and blessings, and remain wholly faithful and obedient to our Lord. Ameen.
